Open Access Studio
Are you a ceramic artist but do not have your own studio or equipment?
How about buying monthly membership in our fully kitted out hand-building ceramics studio!
We offer an ‘open access membership’ where an artist can come and work in the space and use the studio equipment, tables, etc. to created their ceramic pieces.
Space is limited to 4 artist per session and you will need to have prior clay / ceramics experience as no guidance is provided!
Membership costs R1000 per month and you will get 5x sessions to use within a month from signing up. Additional sessions are R200 per session (Max of 16 sessions per artist per month).
SESSION TIMES:
Monday: 9am - 12pm | 1pm - 4pm
Tuesday: 9am - 12pm
Wednesday: 9am - 12pm | 1pm - 4pm | 5pm - 8pm
Thursday: 9am - 12pm | 1pm - 4pm
Each membership includes table space, dedicated shelf space, use of all tools, batts, banding wheels, equipment such as the slab roller, wheel (only one wheel and needs to be booked in advance), glazing table, clay recycling batts, kilns and more.
Membership excludes: materials such as clay, glazes, underglazes etc. You are welcome to bring your own clay or you can buy clay from the studio (please check the notice board for current prices per bag). Firings will be charged on volume of your work and added to your monthly account.
Tea, coffee and home-brewed Kombucha is included in the membership and we have a small bar fridge for extra drinks to purchase.
